Is there a charge to attend this event?

There is no charge to attend this event, however donations are received with gratitude to help defray costs.  We are a 501(c)(3) organization and depend upon donations from people who care.

We will have Limited Edition Pillar Candles and coffee mugs for this year’s event available for sale at the Candle Lighting.  Donations can be made on our website . Checks made payable to “SSPCC” can be sent to SSPCC c/o Teresa Welch, PO Box 333, Lincoln, CA 95648.  Business sponsors will be highlighted in our printed program.

Photo buttons and magnets of your child’s slide can be ordered in advance when you register (suggested donation $3 each) or by emailing to 

Who is invited to attend the Candle Lighting? 

This event is open to bereaved parents, their families and friends in our community.  It is very meaningful when others come to provide support to those who have lost a child.

Is child care provided during the Candle Lighting

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide care for young children or babies during this event.

What are my parking options at the event?

Parking is plentiful and free, located directly in front of the building.


When you register, we will ask you for some important information that we will need for our printed program and the slide show tribute to our children.  It’s important to provide your email address and phone number in case we need to reach you for clarification of any information.

We are preparing a beautiful slide show tribute to our children.  It’s important that you email up to 3 photos in high pixel jpg format as soon as possible to  Please send your photos no later than Wednesday, December 5.  Many hours are invested in creating a very beautiful tribute, so it’s important that you send us your photos as quickly as possible.

What can I bring to the event?

Please bring a framed photo of your child to display at the front of the auditorium.  A nice size is 8”x10”.

You are encouraged to bring your child’s favorite holiday finger food to share during our refreshment time.

Can I update my registration information?


Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

There is no need to bring your printed ticket with you.

On the day of the Candle Lighting (the second Sunday of every December), you will be able to send a note to your child online at  This opportunity is available only on the day of the Candle lighting from 12:01 a.m. until midnight.
